Build a business around
Most families are told to save. Fewer are shown how protection, registered accounts, compounding, insurance, and financial structure work together.
Business Potential
Business potential exists. Results are earned.
WFG’s public business-model page reports WFGIA commission payouts rising from $965M in 2020 to $1.4B in 2024. That does not mean any individual will earn a specific amount. It shows platform scale, not a promise.
- What You Help People Understand
Real conversations.Real outcomes.
As a licensed Financial Protection Advisor, you bring structured financial education to families, professionals, newcomers, and business owners. You don't sell products first. You understand the situation first.
Help families map their income, obligations, and coverage gaps. Life, disability, critical illness — explained not as products, but as tools for specific risks. The conversation the bank never had with them.
TFSA, RRSP, FHSA, RESP — explain what they actually are, how they work together, and how to use them to build wealth and reduce tax legally. The $500/year government grant for RESP that families lose every year they delay.
The 10% habit after every paycheque. The difference between saving money and structuring money. How the same discipline over 20 years produces radically different outcomes depending on where the money sits.
Key person risk, shareholder continuity, buy-sell funding — business owners rarely have a plan for what happens to the business if they cannot show up. This conversation changes that, coordinated with the right professionals.
- How It Works
In business for yourself. Not by yourself.
WFG agents operate as independent contractors — building their own client relationships, setting their own schedule, and growing at their own pace. The platform provides the infrastructure, training, technology, and carrier relationships. You build the business.
Complete pre-licensing education, pass the provincial insurance licensing exam, and meet all regulatory requirements before serving clients.
Serve clients within your licensed authority. Earn commissions on insurance and financial products placed with carriers. Coordinate specialists for tax, legal, and investment questions.
Recruit, train, and mentor other agents. Build an organization of licensed professionals. Earn on team production within applicable regulatory and agency rules.
Full-time or part-time. No geographic ceiling. Your business grows with your activity, your team, and your client relationships — not with seniority at an employer.
